Georgia Heers, chanteuse et compositrice originaire de Greer (Caroline du Sud), s’est formée au jazz à Oberlin College puis à la Juilliard School. Depuis l’obtention de son diplôme en 2023, elle s’est produite sur des scènes emblématiques telles que Mezzrow, Dizzy’s et Minton’s Playhouse, aux côtés de Terrell Stafford, Cyrus Chestnut et Camila Meza. Elle a également chanté au Kennedy Center et au Jazz Showcase.
Lauréate d’une bourse de Chamber Music America, elle a participé en 2024 à l’adaptation scénique de Goodnight and Good Luck de George Clooney, présentée à Broadway et diffusée sur CNN — une première historique. Elle prépare actuellement son premier album.
Pour cette 19e édition du PAPJAZZ, Georgia Heers sera accompagnée d’Aaron Goldberg, pianiste américain renommé et ami fidèle du festival. Le trio sera complété par le bassiste Jason Clotter et le batteur Jimmy McBride, deux musiciens majeurs de la scène new-yorkaise.

Georgia Heers, a vocalist and composer from Greer, South Carolina, studied jazz at Oberlin College and The Juilliard School. Since graduating in 2023, she has performed on iconic stages such as Mezzrow, Dizzy’s, and Minton’s Playhouse, alongside artists including Terrell Stafford, Cyrus Chestnut, and Camila Meza. She has also appeared at the Kennedy Center and the Jazz Showcase.
A recipient of a Chamber Music America grant, she took part in the 2024 Broadway adaptation of George Clooney’s Goodnight and Good Luck, broadcast nationally on CNN — a historic first. She is currently preparing her debut album.
At PAPJAZZ 2026, Georgia Heers will be joined by renowned pianist Aaron Goldberg. The trio will feature bassist Jason Clotter and drummer Jimmy McBride, two standout musicians from the New York jazz scene.
